Welcome to FRA PRO. These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of our website and to bookings, enquiries and services arranged through FRA PRO.
By submitting an enquiry, making a booking, accepting a quotation or proceeding with a service arranged through FRA PRO, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
Please read these Terms carefully before making a booking.
FRA PRO is operated by a UK registered private limited company providing property compliance booking, marketing, administration and lead-generation services.
We connect customers with suitably qualified engineers, assessors, inspectors and other contractors (“Contractors”) to carry out the services booked through us.
Depending on the service required, work may be allocated to Contractors who are directly registered with, accredited by, or members of relevant professional or regulatory organisations, where applicable. These may include:
Not every accreditation applies to every service or Contractor. The appropriate qualifications, registrations and competency requirements will depend on the nature of the work being undertaken.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, Contractors attending appointments may operate as independent contractors rather than employees of FRA PRO.
FRA PRO provides customers with a convenient platform through which property inspection, assessment, certification, maintenance and related services can be requested and arranged.
Our role may include receiving enquiries, arranging appointments, processing bookings and payments, communicating with customers, allocating work to Contractors and providing administrative support.
The actual inspection, assessment, installation, repair, remedial work or other technical service may be carried out by an appropriately qualified independent Contractor.
Where a certificate or report requires a particular professional registration or competency, the Contractor responsible for the relevant work will be required to meet the applicable requirements for that service.
Services arranged through FRA PRO may include, but are not limited to:
Fire Risk Assessments, EICRs and electrical inspections, Gas Safety Certificates, boiler services and repairs, fire alarm inspections and certification, emergency lighting inspections and certification, PAT testing, EPCs, fire door inspections and other property compliance or maintenance services.
The precise scope of work will depend on the service selected, quotation provided and information supplied by the customer.
Additional work identified during an inspection is not automatically included in the original booking price unless specifically stated.
Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information when making a booking, including the property address, contact information, property type, service required and any information that may affect the appointment.
The customer must ensure that the Contractor is provided with safe and reasonable access to all areas necessary to perform the booked service.
If the Contractor cannot complete the work because access is unavailable, incorrect information has been provided, the customer or occupier is unavailable, or circumstances at the property prevent the work from being carried out, additional charges or a further appointment may be required.
Appointment dates and time slots are booked in good faith. Although we make reasonable efforts to attend within the agreed period, arrival times may occasionally be affected by traffic, previous appointments, emergencies or circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Prices displayed on our website or provided during the booking process relate to the specified service and property information supplied by the customer.
Additional charges may apply where the property, number of appliances, circuits, alarms, floors, units or other relevant characteristics differ from the information provided at the time of booking.
Payment may be made using the payment methods offered during booking, which may include online card payment, bank transfer or payment on site where available.
Where additional works or remedial works are required, these may be quoted separately and will not normally form part of the original inspection or assessment fee.
We understand that customers may occasionally need to change or cancel an appointment.
The following cancellation charges apply according to the amount of notice provided:
Where a customer fails to provide access to the property, is unavailable at the agreed appointment, or the Contractor attends but cannot reasonably gain access, this may be treated as a same-day cancellation and a charge may apply.
Where possible, customers should contact FRA PRO as soon as they become aware that an appointment needs to be cancelled or rearranged.
Any cancellation rights provided by applicable consumer law are not affected by this policy.
If a Contractor arranged by FRA PRO fails to attend the property and no work or service has been carried out, the customer will be entitled to a refund of the amount paid for that service, subject to any alternative appointment or resolution agreed with the customer.
If work has already been carried out, whether fully or partially, a full refund will not normally be available.
Where only part of the agreed work has been completed, any refund will be assessed according to the value and extent of the work already performed and the outstanding work. Any appropriate refund will therefore relate only to the uncompleted portion of the service.
Refunds that have been approved will normally be processed within 10–12 days. The time at which funds appear in the customer’s account may also depend on the customer’s bank, card issuer or payment provider.
Nothing in this Refund Policy limits any statutory rights a customer may have under applicable UK consumer law.
An inspection or assessment does not guarantee that a property will pass or receive a satisfactory result.
Reports and certificates reflect the condition of the property, installation or system at the time of inspection and are based on the areas and equipment that can reasonably be accessed and inspected.
Where defects, hazards, observations or non-compliances are identified, additional remedial work may be required. Unless expressly included in the original booking, remedial work will be quoted separately.
Payment for an inspection or assessment is for the professional service provided and does not depend upon the report receiving a satisfactory outcome.
FRA PRO seeks to allocate work to Contractors with qualifications, experience and registrations appropriate to the service being provided.
Depending on the type of work, Contractors may hold registrations or memberships with organisations including NICEIC, NAPIT, Gas Safe Register, IFSM, or other relevant industry bodies.
Registrations and memberships belong to the individual Contractor or contracting business concerned unless specifically stated otherwise. Customers should not interpret references to such organisations as meaning that FRA PRO itself holds every registration mentioned.
Where requested and reasonably available, details of the Contractor carrying out the relevant service can be provided or verified.
Customers must provide accurate booking information, ensure suitable access to the property and inform us of any known hazards or circumstances that could affect the Contractor’s safety or ability to carry out the work.
Where the person making the booking does not own or occupy the property, they are responsible for obtaining any necessary permission for access and for the booked work to be undertaken.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Subject to applicable law, FRA PRO will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the booking was made.
Where services are performed by an independent Contractor, responsibility for the professional and technical performance of that work rests with the Contractor carrying out the service, subject always to the customer’s applicable statutory rights and any legal responsibilities FRA PRO may itself have.
All website content belonging to FRA PRO, including our branding, text, graphics, layout, logos and original website materials, is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
Content must not be copied, reproduced, distributed or commercially exploited without prior written permission, except where permitted by law.
Our website may contain links to third-party websites, payment providers or other services.
FRA PRO is not responsible for the content, availability or privacy practices of third-party websites or services outside our control.
Use of third-party services may also be subject to the terms and privacy policies of those providers.
Occasionally, FRA PRO or an allocated Contractor may need to rearrange an appointment because of illness, emergencies, travel disruption, safety concerns or other circumstances outside reasonable control.
Where this happens, we will make reasonable efforts to notify the customer and arrange an alternative appointment.
If we are unable to provide the booked service and no work has been carried out, the customer may request a refund in accordance with our Refund Policy and applicable law.
If you are dissatisfied with a service arranged through FRA PRO, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the booking and the issue.
We will review the matter and, where appropriate, liaise with the Contractor involved in an attempt to resolve the issue.
Customers should provide us with a reasonable opportunity to investigate and, where appropriate, rectify an issue before arranging corrective work through another provider.
Personal information submitted through our website or booking forms will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK data protection legislation.
Where necessary to fulfil a booking, relevant customer and property information may be shared with the Contractor allocated to the job and with service providers involved in processing the booking or payment.
FRA PRO may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time.
The version published on our website at the time of a booking will normally apply to that booking, subject to applicable law.
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute will be dealt with by the courts having jurisdiction under applicable law. Nothing in these Terms removes any mandatory rights or jurisdiction protections available to consumers.
If you have questions about a booking, cancellation, refund or these Terms and Conditions, please contact us.
